I’m Andrea, “the” Farm and Pet Copywriter.

After decades as an engineer (the weird one who loved to write!) in large corporations, I’m now following my passion for writing and my lifelong love of animals. With decades of firsthand experience caring for a wide range of animals – from cats and rabbits to horses and poultry – I bring a unique perspective and a genuine love for both animals and research to my work. I’m dedicated, thorough, and always striving to improve, and I enjoy bringing a bit of fun, whimsy, and a unique perspective to my work.

Ultimately, I just want to help animals and the people who care for them, making sure both are treated with the respect and compassion they deserve.

Life On My Farm

My husband and I share our Massachusetts farm with a parade of furry, feathered, and four-hooved friends: cats, horses, goats, chickens, ducks, and whatever else wanders in. Growing up, my “brother” was a Siamese cat named Tigger, and I’ve been a devoted animal person ever since.

I’ve had cats ever since, these two being our current “clowder” (Cooper is the gray/white with Bonnie the calico):

These are our horses, Dusty the quarter horse palomino, and Cisco the black and white Tennessee Walker mix:

We also have a couple of Nigerian Dwarf goats, Hanky the black and white wether, and Fawn who looks just like a little deer:

And of course, no farm is complete without chickens and ducks:

My animals are family. I know the joys and heartbreaks, the messes and the magic. That’s why my writing isn’t just informed, it’s inspired.
